Job description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant (AP/AR) to join our Finance team. You'll play a crucial role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly — from invoicing and payments to reconciling accounts and supporting internal and external reporting.
As our very first hire in the Finance department, you'll have a unique opportunity to help shape our financial processes and grow with the company.

🚀 What You'll Do
Customer & Sales Support
Prepare and send monthly invoices promptly and accurately.
Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain healthy cash flow.
Assist the Sales team in compiling, reviewing, and preparing client quotations.
Build strong client relationships through professional financial communication.
Supplier Accounting & Bookkeeping
Process and record purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile supplier accounts, clean up outstanding balances, and manage payment initiations.
Ensure accurate, organized financial records to support smooth operations.
Manage timely preparation and submission of VAT returns and listings, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
Finance Operations & Reporting
Keep all financial data accurate, updated, and audit-ready at all times.
Support monthly and quarterly closings by preparing reconciliations and necessary financial reports.
Act as a key point of contact for the external accountant.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and improve internal financial processes and best practices.
Job requirements
🎯 You’d Be a Great Fit If You…
1–3 years of experience in a Finance, Accounting or Admin role
Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reconciliations.
Experience with VAT filings and tax compliance.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Dutch as a native language is required, excellent communication skills in English.
This role can be full-time or 4/5 (80%) if preferred.
